Are you ready for your shift? Are you ready for your next level? Then you are ready for your Vujà Dé. What is Vujà Dé? It is the opposite of Déjà vu.
Dictionary.com defines Déjà vu as the illusion of having previously experienced something actually being encountered for the first time.
Author Simon T. Bailey wrote a book called. The Vujà Dé Moment: Shift from Average to Brilliant. The concept of Vujà Dé intrigued me. The premise of Vujà Dé is that you have the exact opposite experience of Déjà vu. You have an experience in your life like you have never had before. Although we live in a society of change, we thrive off of the familiar. We enjoy the familiarity of the normal. While change is constant, change is uncomfortable for most of us, and we don’t embrace it as readily as we should. Why? Because we don’t know what lies on the other side of change. It forces us to step out of our comfort zone. But to have a Vujà Dé life, we must be ready for something we have never experienced before. It will be a dramatic change.
I want to encourage you today to decide you want to have a Vujà Dé life. I made the decision for myself to have a Vujà Dé life. I want to go from an average life to a brilliant life. I want to do something that’s never been done before. I don’t want an ordinary life. I want an extraordinary life. You can have that too. Did you know, that’s what God wants for you as well? Let’s look at God’s promises for us.
Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
God declares in His word, that He wants us to prosper and to have good health. God wants to do something in your life that you have never seen before. He wants to do the extraordinary in your life. The Bible is full of people who experienced an extraordinary life with God. Why? Because they believed it was possible!!! Do you believe it is possible to have an extraordinary life with God?
The first step is believing. You have to have faith.
Hebrew 11:1 “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Our faith in God and in his ability to do the impossible is what’s going to propel us into our destiny. It is in our faith walk with God that we will experience a Vujà Dé life. Something that’s never been done before. The world is full of evidence that God can do just that. He can change our life from ordinary to extraordinary, but we have to first believe that it is possible.
The second step is understanding yourself. Do you know what kind of life you want? Do you have a dream of what you want God to do in your life? If you can dream it, you can achieve it. I have spent much time alone. In my alone time, while I’m thinking, praying, and meditating, I have come to know myself well. I know what my extraordinary life looks like. I have a vision board in my bedroom. On my vision board, I have created my dream of an extraordinary life through a collage of pictures and words of affirmation. Each day I wake up, I am able to see and envision my extraordinary life. I’m clear about what I want God to do in my life. I have asked for it, prayed for it, and now, I must believe I will receive it. Create your own vision board. Create a visual of the life you want. What is your dream? Write it down and read it to yourself each day. Look at your vision board and imagine that you are already there.
The third step is to create an action plan. When you create your vision, create your action plan to achieve your vision. Now here’s the catch, you have to dream so big that for you to have your Vujà Dé
life, God Himself will have to bring it to pass. What do I mean? I have dreams so big that I understand, I can’t accomplish them on my strength, resources, time, and talents are not sufficient to accomplish my extraordinary life, so I’m clear that it will only be accomplished through God. My faith is so big that I believe he will send me the strength, time, talent, and resources to accomplish every dream He has placed inside of my heart. So my action plan is to get started. I wrote down what I wanted to accomplish. I shared my dream with a few trusted friends that I know will pray for me, encourage me, and hold me accountable to not give up but to persevere daily towards my goals. I’m starting with baby steps and allowing His grace and mercy to provide the rest. I know I will have my Vujà Dé life because I believe in the impossible and I’m making the shift from average to brilliant. I’m not wasting time becoming comfortable in the familiar. No, I want to change, I embrace change. I’m coming out of my comfort zone to experience my Vujà Dé life!!! What about you?
